History of Ahmadu Bello University
Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) is a federal government research university located in Zaria, Kaduna State. ABU was founded on October 4, 1962, as the University of Northern Nigeria.
The university operates three main campuses: Samaru and Kongo in Zaria, and School of Basic Studies in Funtua.

- For those going for College of medicine courses, they must have a minimum of credits at not more than one sitting which must include english language, mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology.
- Applicants who wants to study courses in Law, Arts, Sciences, Education, Technologies should ensure they have a minimum of 5 credits at one sittings or 6 credits at not more than two sittings.
All direct entry students must have 5 credit in English language and it must not be more than two sittings .
Having an O level credit in mathematics is compulsory for those going for economics or science related courses. - ABu Zaria must be choose as first choice in UTME.
