Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN) Admission Requirements

Candidates seeking admission into the Academy must have a functional and accessible electronic mail address (E-mail) and mobile phone number.

A. Nautical Science

a. Applicants Must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with at least FIVE CREDIT passes in subjects which must include.
– Mathematics
– English Language,
– Physics
– Geography,
– and any other related Science subjects obtained in NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS.

b. Applicants Must possess a National Diploma Certificate in Nautical Science with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of not less than 2.50 (Lower Credit) from the Maritime Academy of Nigeria or other accredited institution listed with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Also, candidates must have JAMB Registration number.

c. Applicants Must have completed a minimum of one-year post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or must have acquired a minimum of one-year cognate work experience in a relevant organisation.

d. Candidates with PASS at National Diploma level from this academy or other accredited institution must have completed a minimum of two years Post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or must have acquired a minimum of two years cognate work experience in a relevant organisation.

B. Marine Engineering

a. Applicants Must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with at least FIVE CREDIT passes in subjects which must include
– Mathematics
– English Language,
– Physics,
– Chemistry,
– and any other related Science subjects obtained in NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS

b. Applicants Must possess a National Diploma Certificate in Marine Engineering with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of not less than 2.50 (Lower Credit) from this academy or other accredited institution listed with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Also, candidates must have JAMB Registration number.

c. Applicants Must have completed a minimum of one-year post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or must have acquired a minimum of one-year cognate work experience in a relevant organisation.

d. Candidates with PASS at National Diploma level from this academy or other accredited institution must have completed a minimum of two years Post-ND Industrial Training with evidence or must have acquired a minimum of two years cognate work experience in a relevant organisation.

C. Maritime Transport and Business Management

a. Applicants Must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with at least FIVE CREDIT passes in subjects which must include:
– Mathematics,
– English Language,
– Economics,
– and any two of Commerce, Government, Financial Accounting and Business Management obtained in NOT MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS.

b. Applicants Must possess a National Diploma Certificate in Maritime Transport and Business Studies with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of not less than 2.50 (Lower Credit) from this academy or other accredited institution listed with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Also, candidates must have JAMB Registration number
