Short History Of The University Of Ilorin

University of Ilorin, also known as Unilorin, is a federal government-owned university in ilorin kwara, Nigeria. It was established by a Decree of the Federal Military Government in August, 1975.

 The establishment aimed to implement one of the educational directives of the Third National Development Plan which was aimed at providing more opportunities for Nigerians aspiring to acquire university education and to generate high-level manpower, so vital for the rapidly expanding economy.

Compared to other higher institutions of learning in the country, the institution has one of the largest landmass covering approximately 5000 hectares of land.

UNILORIN Admission Requirements 2022/2023

1. 1. You must choose them as first choice in UTME.
   2. Applicants must have reached the age of sixteen years as at the point of registration.
   3. Candidates must also have 5 credit passes or 6 credit passes at not more than one sittings, the credit passes must include English language for all courses.
   4. He or she must have a minimum of 180 before planning to apply for the university screening either for both UTME or Direct Entry.
   5. It is expected of each applicant to Perform very well in the Screening examination if you seek to get admission.
   6. Having the right subject combination is also very important, you can check for the right subject combination right on the school portal.
   7. You must also ensure you meet the minimum cutoff mark of the institution.
   8. Direct entry candidates must have two A-level passes which must include economics.
   9. Direct entry applicants must also have a minimum of 5 credits in the relevant field.
